Confirms he didn't care about winning
They probably convinced him they weren’t going in a rebuild and then just offered him a shit ton of money.
Only reason Watson accepted is bc of all the guaranteed money or else he would be a Falcon or Saint

They told him we aren’t trading you.

Ok then give me a shit ton of money. Browns have no issues doing that lol. Getting paid more than most QB’s is crazy

No clue how someone can watch the college product of basketball and think it is in the same stratosphere as pro.

The difference between NBA and college hoops is way bigger than NFL to CFB.

I love march madness...that is it. The product has gone way downhill.
I'm sure I'd like it more and pay more attention if OSU could get better again but you are correct regardless.

Guess Holtman not the issue (not that he didn't need to be replaced).

Not sure about that last comment.....likely Watson makes whichever team acquires him pay that ransom or really close.

confirms what I said from beginning......offer him $40 mil per and guessing he all of a sudden is OK with direction of team.
Are you ok with the direction of the team though? They should have trade him and started a full rebuild

Team needs a QB then, yes, I'm fine with direction. Too big of a dead cap hit to trade him and why I didn't think it would happen.

Amazing how so many "myles wants out, this organization is a disgrace" are now "he doesn't deserve or they shouldn't pay him that much money, this organization is a disgrace"

Well those aren't contradictory, him wanting out (because they suck) doesn't mean they aren't a disgrace.

However, him proving it was just a money grab means he obviously doesn't care and maybe even doesn't think they suck

If you think they just need a QB then that's my answer, you don't think they need a full rebuild. A lot of teams do of course...

I don’t agree. He wasn’t getting a fully guaranteed contract, which makes a huge difference. We heard the Browns were out and then he signed with them.

Money talks especially a fully guaranteed contract

Certainly doesn’t hurt. Most guys will take the money.
And the Browns said they weren’t trading him. Two reasons likely: 1. Cornerstone of this team for year, HOF player 2. Dead cap hit wasn’t worth it especially since he is still under contract for 2 more years

It isn’t out of the question they can still win but like everyone said, they need a QB and not just a bridge QB. I don’t think a bridge qb is out of question for THIS YEAR though

Was more confident this time last year just needed a QB that's for sure.

We also heard Myles is out and not about the money. Not every report is factual.

Either way we have no idea what other teams would have been willing to offer IF allowed another chance to negotiate with him

Absolutely agree. I would say a lot of reporting is just sources from sources. So by the time that gets to that reporter, what is the truth.
In a lot of cases it’s like a rumor in grade school. The best reporters only give intel when they are absolutely certain, even some of those guys mess up

Right...and in this case Watson might have truly decided this was where he wanted to be (and, yes, money a main factor). Not like the 100% guarantee could be topped as far as guarantee %. And of course did look like a better chance to win here at time....well, had he not shit the bed.
