Not being as good as he was hyped to be?

Seems like most reports are this QB class (with him part of) is not that great so how is he being hyped so much?

Carroll was a fantastic hire and there is reason for optimism.

Just trying to say temper expectations.

If you go in talking about/hoping for that 1/100 crazy turn around you are most likely going to be disappointed.

My hopes for the Commanders this year were somewhere near a .500 record and for Daniels to show potential.

They wildly overachieved what I was hoping for and it was amazing.

Would rather have that situation than to set the bar unrealistically high and be disappointed.

But I guess you Laker fans don’t know what it is like to go decades without winning.

That one sure did but plenty of trades happen after the rumors turn out to be true.

I mean, when you rumor a guy to be going to a bunch of teams, sure, might hit on the occasional one. Also these rumors are not even rumors as they are made public after the teams pretty much agree to a deal. also good chance to get it right when a guy like AD wants to be dealt to just one team.

I really cannot recall huge deals that were rumored to go down well before it did...I'm not saying never happened, just don't recall.

Arguably one of the best receiving corps in Brown Smith and Goedert
And special teams in the playoffs were great as well. Caused two turnovers on kick offs, solid punt return game, only missed kicks were in the snow.

Eagles supporting cast is pretty great.

The transformation by the defense from last year to this year was amazing.

They had pieces last year, but just couldn’t stop anybody.

Big improvements at LB and at S. Those areas were just deficient last year. Every team just worked the middle, TEs, RBs over and over and over again. They had a DC in over his head. They fired him and put that fat fuck Patricia in charge and it just got worse. The evolution of the defense this year was never something I saw coming. I was just praying for competent and middle of the road. The defense really carried them in my opinion.
