Here's where it might be so crazy that it works: BB says he's going to run the team like a professional program...in the new NIL and transfer portal era, it sort of is a pro league now. Old school college coaches are bailing because they don't want to play in the new sandbox, so now pro coaches might fill the gaps and do well. It'll be fun to see if it happens.

I guess that game specifically is not recognized as a factor for CFP selections which is weird, but I guess they care more about the historical significance of said game.
They are both in conferences so yes they could make the playoff. Them making the conference championship game would be independent of anything that happens in this game I guess. Would be interesting if one of them won the conference and was the highest ranked non P4 and got in then lost this game. I guess everyone decided it was a chance worth taking. I love this game.
Wouldn’t they have already sent everyone home? Cincy, Wisconsin and Air Force are listed as possible replacements.
