It was absolutely a crazy amount.

So again

Official wind speed in Columbus vs Cincy today was 1 MPH.
and again even if that's true if you listened to announcers it's now our passing game was awful. 5.5 yards/pass, 2 INTs...but, sure, throw more.

you are a Blame the Coach guy and announcers at game had no agenda...nor did Galloway that I can think of. almost like he was directing his comments to you.

Ours was not so good either yesterday but did you want to see him throw more? and worse QBs/teams have had their way downfield against Igbonosi.

Yes I absolutely wanted him to spread the field and throw more.

End of first half when they did that what happened?

Yeah, you know more as a youth football coach than Day and Kelly and of course Joey Galloway. I saw Smith go to short side some and other side on others despite your tape/film watching. Never mind you seem to be ignoring how bad the weather was. Hell, UM really never threw downfield...not even a deep or mid deep sideline play with Igbonosi covering which is a near guarantee reception or PI.

Ya gotta love this forum

Had a nice drive....and into the second half and beyond when they did it what happened?

I get with all your film study and coaching little kids you think you are some expert, but do you not allow the possibility Day, Kelly and Galloway know more than you?

I literally live here DT, it was not fucking windy for a late Novemeber game.

And again, as evidenced by the Bengals and Steelers throwing for a million yards today.

I've sat here and defended Stefanski all year, I am a hardcore defender of AJ Hinch (you would have to see how many want him gone in Detroit), I loved Larry Brown/Flip when others wanted him canned and I was Urban all day every day and twice on Sunday.

Day turtles up and coaches scared, this is what Cooper did in big games, and it is worn by his team.

I have until this year defended him, but yesterday cannot be defended whatsoever.

I have rewatched much of the game.....some plays to short and wide side. some worked and didn't to short side. Like most games.
Never mind Day does not call the plays.

Watch the tape = I've really got nothing.

Galloway is a player so I don't care about his take. Kelly and Day coached the worst game of their lives yesterday. I dont profess to be an expert in all things football i am stating that what they did yesterday is so fundamentally retarded a pee wee coach can see it.

I can agree a strong case can be made they PLAYED scared/tight.....likely why former player Galloway put most of the blame on the players and not the coach. Does he bear some responsibility for it? absolutely. But he didn't miss one kick, throw one pick, drop one ball that was an easy first down, have a guy wrapped up for a loss to let him get away for 20+ yards.

I guess the PSU game was not a big game? The ND wins? The Clemson CFP win? The many wins vs. highly ranked teams like Wisky or others that were needed? How about when the offense he actually called plays for went up and down the field against a UGA team many said was easily the top defense in a CFP game? Yes, I get a loss but certainly not his fault.....even though if I had to guess you blamed him like so many others. amiright?

Name one wide side play in the 2nd half.
sure thing...the 1st and 3rd plays shown here of second half were more toward wide side. 4th was near side but went for 25 or so. What a dumb call, I guess. 5th down middle, 6th near side run went for around 15 yards. another dumb call I guess. couple more just after those that went near side and were nice gains/first downs. I guess on those that are passes the QB should throw to covered guys on wide side to please you?

as a coach would think you'd know this but let me explain something.....on throws there will be receivers on wide and near side. That QB fellow gets to choose where to go with the ball.

I challenge you to find a single post from me about Ryan Day to this degree until today. The gameplan yesterday was embarrassingly bad to the extent that it should cost him his job. Results just aren't there for a top 5 program in CFB. They just arent.

Yet those results make them a top 5 team even if they lose to a rival sometimes. They just are.

From my film study I just learned you kind of made things up to make your point.

How can you watch those plays and not see exactly what I'm saying?

That 2nd pick by Howard was wtf and it was short side the whole way.

3rd and 10 and run a fucking draw?

But gonna bow out unless asked a direct question you want answered......you can get the last word. was it frustrating? absolutely. But despite what you may believe Galloway's opinion should not be dismissed out of hand and players matter.

well you asked Qs so I'll answer. You asked me to find 1 play in 2nd half that was wide side and took all of 1 play to find one. I also found some short side plays that were really good plays.

I didn't like that draw call either.

This is you refusing to acknowledge what I was saying. As per usual. That 3rd play was up the middle. They did a shit job spreading the field the entire game except for the one drive they scored on.

Criminally bad coaching job yesterday. One of the worst I've ever seen and that is having seen a whole year of Kitchens.

Barry Switzer and the wishbone used to kill teams by overloading the short side of the field. Those days are long gone though.
