Gotta love football Sundays but it’s a shame that there’s only soo many in a year. You gotta cherish each one

Anyone else watching Seahawks/Jets?

So far, 3 muffed kickoffs by the Seahawks return team, a kickoff return for a touchdown by the Jets return team, each team has had an extra point blocked and Seahawks DE Big Cat Williams returned an interception 92 yards for a touchdown.

A little more than halfway through the 2nd quarter. lol

I hear you but why does Georgia need to beat Texas again to show that they the best in the sec
Maybe because they play such different schedules? also not every year the teams in CCGs played each other already.

Disgusting day of football. This isn’t what Thanksgiving is about…Ohio St should beat Michigan. Day has to win it all or he is gone…so he is gone. I have defending him for years but I am out of excuses. Even if you blame Chip for playcalling, you hired him. Bye bye
Loved what Joey Galloway had to say after the game......this one was on the players and blaming coaches is just something emotional fans do.

does Day bear responsibility? Sure....but he does not miss kicks, throw picks, drop passes for easy first downs, wrap up guys in backfield on 3rd down then let him go for 20, etc.

Said in a different thread Day is starting to remind me of Jon Cooper 2.0. And I don't want another decade + of that.

Didn't like Kelly's pay calling. It was obvious in the 1st half the running game wasn't working. Defense played their asses off and the offensive let them down.

Here's a name to replace Day. Mike Vrabel. What do you think of that possibility?
Just nuts to compare him to Cooper. Coop rarely if ever had recruiting classes like Day - occasionally not even in top 20 - never mind 6-7 seasons where he lost 4 or 6 games.

Now could you justify firing him if we are one and done? Sure. Vrabel? Interesting but CFB a lot different than NFL and my guess is he wants no part of it.....never mind the guy finished 6-18 for TN before they canned him.

I'd be leery of letting him go as a careful what you wish for situation could arise.....unless maybe Chris Peterson wants to coach again?

Day has a real issue prepping his teams for Michigan. He shit himself yesterday.

Last year needed 6 team playoff

This year 6 would be far too many

It's more meaningful games. We had this ridiculous notion that perfection is all that matters and it led to shitty non conf games etc. Id have kept it to 8 teams myself, but 12 Is ideal to 4

It's nuts to compare him to Cooper? Compare Day's first five games (as head coach, not when he coached for a suspended Meyer) against ann arbor with Cooper's first five games. It's not nuts at all to make that comparison. Day had one win and Cooper had none with one tie.

That 6-18 record for Vrabel. Here's some info for you.

Last season Titans used the most players in the league, 83. In 2022 they used 86. In 2021 the number was 91, a league record.

Did Day miss kicks, throw the picks, drop the pass for the 1st down and have a guy wrapped up in backfield only to lose him for a 20 yard gain.

loved what Galloway said after.

He called (he certainly had input) the worst offensive gameplan I've ever seen.

OK....but CFB more than games against your rival. Day has not had a bunch of 4 and 6 loss seasons.

Can we compare his first 5 to Harbaugh, too (who while we might not like him is a really good coach)? Harbaugh started off 0-5 and their fans also wanted him gone. Day is 1-4. Would have started 2-3 had Harbaugh not essentially forfeited in 2020.

as for Vrabel, would be interesting if he kept Hartline...but my guess is he prefers the pro game.

Holy Hyperbole Batman. You wanted more passing when they were going for less than 5.5 yards/pass with 2 picks in very windy conditions? Never mind game plan works better if guys execute.

as Galloway said...blaming coaches is what emotional fans do.

I'm not emotional. Watch the tape. They ran the play to the short side of the field EVERY play.

When you have a massive athleticism advantage that is atrocious gameplanning.

Play after play ran Smith to the short side. Watch the tape. I paid attention.

I pay much more attention to that now that I'm involved in youth football. We utilize the longer side as much as we can because we are so fast.
