I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Deion's chances as an NFL coach.

One of the things that seems to trip up coaches moving from college to the NFL is the difference in dealing with college kids, most of whom will never play football for a living vs. grown ass men playing football for a living.

I wouldn't think that would be much of an issue for Deion since he used to be one of those grown ass men playing football for a living.
A fair point but so much about it is different in the NFL, there's a reason the only college coach with any memorable NFL success is Jimmy Johnson, a long ass time ago.

I personally don’t think Deion can humble himself enough to be a truly successful coach, even at the college level. If he can win a playoff game maybe I’ll change my mind but I don’t see that happening.

Urban Meyer and Nick Saban were pretty successful their whole lives too before they tried. Weird take.

They were also in college much longer than Deion which made it tough. You acting like Deion been coaching college for 15-20 years like those guys. This is just his 5th or 6th year coaching college and only his 2nd year coaching an fbs school.

Crazy to think that it’s more difficult to adjust to the nfl when you coached college for over 30 years compared to 5…..such a weird take

This is more logic Al take than acting like he’s been coaching forever like saban and Meyer which is why he can’t coach/adjust to coaching in the nfl

Oh so being much more inexperienced as a coach is an advantage for Deion? Weird take.

Yeah when I think of what good NFL coaches all have in common, it's humility

Not an advantage but he won’t be stuck in his ways like those 2 were due to how long they were coaching college.

Sure and he could be an exception, anything is possible. It's just very long odds for college coaches to do well in the NFL and I'm not sure Deion is that guy. It's a really different job. Heck many great NFL coaches would probably struggle in college.

I know you are being smart ass but the good ones certainly don’t put themselves above the team. This is a guy that picked a desperate place willing to give him part of the gate.

I know you can never give any credit to any player or coach that isn't just an old school boring cipher that fits your exacting specifications, but there is starting to be evidence that Deion might know how to coach in college. Would need to see it with someone other than his son at QB to be sure.

I’m willing to make a bet, let me know next time you go to Vegas I’ll meet you there lol. In all seriousness I wouldn’t mind seeing him succeed, and who knows maybe with the changing landscape in college football he will.

Good qbs aren’t hard to find. I’m more impressed what he’s done with the improvement on the oline and dline. He knew what the weakness was and got right to fixing it asap
