The Northwestern Wildcats hold the record for the longest losing streak in NCAA Division I college football, losing 44 consecutive games between 1979 and 1982. The streak began with a loss to Michigan State on September 22, 1979, and ended with a win over Northern Illinois on September 25, 1982

Signing a vet to a big contract and then starting a rookie isn't exactly unprecedented.

The Seahawks did that with Russell Wilson after signing Matt Flynn.

That seemed to work out just fine.

If KC can stay healthy for a season or 2, it would give Penix a chance to learn from him.

Seattle clearly overpaid Flynn. A season after he played 5 reg season games, starting 1.

Pretty sure it’s in the 30s, not 43. I remember because I recall it’s quite a bit less than OUs 47 game record winning streak.
