Because the Niners have a lot of talent, they just need/needed a QB. Prior to getting injured, Brock Purdy looked like he could be that guy. If he can pick up where he left off when he got hurt, they could absolutely come out of the NFC.

I feel like Brock Purdy isn't ever gonna be 'that guy'. He can game manage but so could Jimmy G, feels like NFC title game is the ceiling with him but of course we'll see. Hurts can be 'that guy' and the Eagles have as good a team around him don't they?

With that defense, he doesn't need to do more than that. Find a way to score about 24 ppg and you will win a lot of games. Shouldnt be too hard to do with Cmac, Deebo, and Kittle on offense

Just heard they made Howell the starter over Brissett. Though Brissett looked pretty good last year. Did Howell beat him out or just a case of they know what Brissett is and he's not the long range answer to F it. Worst (best?) case get a top pick.

Yea if going by the numbers last year. They were the top 2 defensive teams but did different things well. Eagles strength was shutting down the pass while the 49ers was shutting down the run
