They played well minus the last few minutes

Yeah they played well enough to lose. Still can't believe that stupid back the back pass Sueing tried to make. From down 3 to down 8 in a matter of seconds. Maybe the Buckeyes can get some revenge in the conference tourney.

almost posted that last part.....haha.

with a title in hand, and not looking like they can get another, maybe it is time for a rebuild in Seattle.

It might be. The thing is, I think if they upgraded their o-line a bit...they could be right back in contention. Russ has weapons and the defense was solid after they upgraded a couple of spots.

Edit: Apparently Wilson hasn't officially requested a trade. According to Cowherd, Wilson's agent has said that Wilson has told the Seahawks that he wants to stay in Seattle, but he has also given them a list of 4 teams he'll play for, the Cowboys, Saints, Raiders and Bears. He has a no trade clause. So he holds the cards.

What?

He didn’t list the Texans?

Why not?

Kind of a random list, but guessing he has his reasons.

My guess would be he stays put. IF one got traded I'd say Watson.

Watson has reiterated that he will not play again for Houston. He has to be moved at this point. Wilson has only said what teams he would like IF he is traded.

Does seem to be the case.......seems like only way Watson does not get dealt is if his team just holds firm.

...and they are dumb enough to do just that apparently. Let teams compete to get good value in return and move on.

I'd probably give him what he wants as long as I got what I want (if I was Houston). I'm not just trading him because he asked, though.

So you think it's in their best interest to keep him and have him sit out?

He doesn’t have to be moved, Houston might be stubborn enough to make a point and end his career.

not the best option but not as bad as you might think. His season would not count (so no closer to being able to go or get his big money), they would suck and they'd get a better draft pick in 2022. would be far worse for Watson than Houston.

would sure make others think twice about demanding a trade.
I don’t have a problem with him demanding a trade, sometimes bosses say no.

true, but a difference between demanding and requesting. I would not blame them at all if Houston held firm if he refused to play.

...and would prevent them from ever getting another high profile FA signing
Yeah...many said no one would ever sign with the Browns, as well, but they have had their share of high profile FAs the last few seasons.

Not the NBA...players in NFL will go where the money is.

There's no shortage of money for quality players. They don't need to go to Houston if they don't trust the front office.

do they need to? No, but I've seen a 1-15 Browns team sign top players at their position in FA.

Not saying Houston will be at top of anyone's list for a destination and they might need to overpay some. Never been there but have heard a nice place to live by some. That cannot hurt.

Free agency in the NFL is weird though.

Teams who make a lot of splashy free agent signings often don’t tend to do that well. Got to build the cheap talent through the draft in the NFL!
