Agree. Although, I wouldn't rule out the 4th team making it, it seems unlikely. Even if the 4th place team goes 0-6 in conference, there are 11 other games. So that team could end up with a winning record.

If this is one of those seasons where a team or 2 with a losing record is in the wild card hunt, it could happen.

Wouldn't bet any real money on it though. Especially since the NFC West is apparently the NFC conference for crossover games and, except for my Seahawks, the NFC West is as good or better than the AFC West.

Sharing carries with Chubb has kept the contract marginal but I don’t know about “still young”. He will be 28 next season and 30 is the magic number for RBs. Seems like that is when they tend to fall off a Cliff in terms of talent and production.

Yeah but you got think about his workload with the suspension and being a backup. I believe he has enough in the tank to warrant a 3-4 year contract. Plus he doesn’t rely on speed and a ton of athleticism to succeed.

Why don’t y’all trade for D’Ernest. The Browns are loaded at RB with Jerome Ford as RB4

He’s limited for sure. There’s a reason why the Eagles didn’t have any takers when they shopped him. But you’re right that he gives them an ability to manage a game. Hurts has to play though. He is still being evaluated. You can’t do that and have a decision come April draft without playing him.

I would argue if Hurts struggles you don’t want to save the season. You let that shit play out and you try and land top 8 with your draft pick for the QBs of 2023. They can still take Saints 2023 1 and their 2024 1 and use it to move up to 1 or 2 to take their guy.

I’m usually there with you on saving the season, but in your hypothetical the long term goal of getting that QB supersedes a desire to be 10-7 and lose a playoff game on the road in the first round. Go get your best evaluation of a QB heavy draft.

All 4 AFC West teams in means only 1 team from every other division.

That means either the Titans or Colts miss, and either the Ravens or Bengals miss and only 1 team from the AFC East.

It is more likely that the AFC west gets only 1 team in because they beat each other up than it is that all 4 go.

And I would bet on the West getting more than 1 team all day long.

I cringe when the talking heads say the Browns are playoff caliber. It always seems to bite them in the rear end.

Obviously this season is different. DW's a scumbag but he's a proven good QB. Have no idea what to expect outta my team with JB. Only thing I think is a certain is they'll lean heavily on the running game.
