k, i'll be serious for 1 second...

YOU wouldn't have gotten excited if the Heat had won the game...?

I would say no. I would've been happier, but the last time the Heat won game 1 in the Finals was 2011. Yeah...

Look...Spurs shot over 55% and won a game that was close at home. Tip your hat and move on. Hope Lebron can play in Gamer 2.

Actually I'd say that the Spurs were coming back when Lebron was still in the game. The Heat had pushed it to like 8 or 9 in the 4th...and they had a chance to seize control, but the Spurs got it back under control

:agree:no doubt...

Maybe they win but no way they win by 15. Would've probably been decided in the final minute or OT

The 2014 Manu Ginobili rebirth continues at least for one game.

There is another thread that merely focused on the D-Wade improvement....and tried to downplay how bad Manu was last playoffs.

I suggest that the improvement of Manu was equally if not more important than the improvement of D-Wade.

Miami can win with a crappy D-Wade. SA cannot win with a crappy Manu Ginobili,.

Hopefully, the Argentine doesn't fall apart and revert back to 2013.

I don't agree. A crappy Wade Miami is in trouble and might sneak out a win. SA has enough guys to make up for him, but he is still a hige factor in winning for sure

I am glad to see Timmy (for at least 1 game) back up all that silly nonsense.

He gave the most lukewarm half-ass guarantee ever....and Chris Bosh acted like he was a WWE hype man.

It might not happen again. He might suck the next 4 in a row.

But, it was important for Duncan to play well in game 1. All that guarantee stuff is now over with.

Chris Bosh can go back to worrying about his own team for game 2.

A lot of weird things happened in this game that will probably never happen again in this series

1) Spurs 22 turnovers with half of them unforced

2) Heat being outscored 36-17 in the 4th

3) Ray missing 5 wide open 3s in a row

4) Lebron cramping not finishing the game

This was a back and forth game and could've gone either way down the wire. Props to the Spurs for executing down the stretch and hitting the shots, but there's no denying the circumstances of the game affected the players.

No excuses. Miami still had a 2 pt lead when Bron came out. Wade and Bosh should still be good enough to at least keep the game close, but Spurs went insane to end the game. That's what they do. 30 ast on 40 baskets for the Spurs. That sums up the game.

LOL, yep. the other extreme. try -67 in upstate New York on for size...

but you can bundle up against cold. what the hell can you do against hot...?

Actually CL67, what many people do who work outside in that type of heat out here is wear all cotton lightweight, reflective (bright colors or white) clothing that allows for convective cooling. They where long sleeves cotton shirts, a hat with a brim, a neck handkerchief that covers the neck, and they wear light blue jeans as well. What you are trying to do is reflect the suns' direct rays keeping the skin cool through convective cooling. They also hydrate constantly and it is usually ice water to keep the core temp from sudden spikes. It works pretty well. Then they get their electrolytes through food because to keep water you need to have the electrolyte balance that sets up the correct water osmotic pressure in the tissues. Then you don't do any thing excessive but work at a constant pace. In this game, that is where folks got into trouble. Larger muscles heat up faster, increasing water loss, and convective cooling is stymied by the humidity. It got LBJ tonight in a severe case. Not going to go very far when that happens.

Miami has to do better on defense. You can't allow the Spurs to go 60% from the field. You just can't. Lebron also needs to hydrate more.
