Talk about a group who was clueless in that situation.
Coaches totally responsible to make sure players know if there are any timeouts left.
That explains why James didnt know what to do, and prob why ref ignored him.
If he calls it and they dont have, its a technical.

Thanks for clarifying. First time I saw this.... Though I never saw Lebron trying to call time out either. I just saw him partially making the TO sign but never went through with it totally... But wow, how do you not know how many time outs left? I thought they had 1 left as well. Guess not

I agree that the primary responsibility is on the coaches to communicate the TO situation.

That said, on a veteran team the players share that responsibilty. Someone should have asked. As bright and in tune as LeBron always is, I expect him to know the timeout situation at the end of a game.
