Bamba, Jackson, Doncic, Ayton, Bagley and Porter all would have been favored to go #1 last year if you ask me.
and honestly- the 2 pure pgs in teh draft- young and sexton- i both bet would have gone before Ball and maybe even Fultz.
this draft is beyond loaded
this class is undoubtedly better than last years class. It is not even a questionI actually don't think this draft is all that loaded. Its a lot of hype carried over from a great class last year. This looks more like your typical draft where you got a couple guys at the top, a select few intrigues, and then the rest. For me it looks like,
Tier 1: Ayton, Doncic
Tier 2: Bagley, Porter, Sexton
Tier 3: Rest of the lottery picks
I'm also pretty wary of Mo Bamba. His got measurables that people can get blinded by but just me personally watching him at Texas, he didn't pop off the screen for a guy you'd expect with those measurables. Like everything is just a result of his size. I didn't see a fantastic athlete and he didn't move all that well on defense but his length cleaned up any mistakes he made. That won't happen in the NBA against elite competition. He's really really raw is what I'm saying. I could easily see him struggling if he goes to the wrong team that doesn't know how to develop players. I also think people just like his name.

at LEAST 4-6 guys in this class would go #1 in last years class.
He was terrible yesterday. He's still waiting for the NCAA ruling on his eligibility. He has until May 30th to withdraw, as he apparently hasn't hired an agent. If he's not cleared, he'll go pro. If he is, he has a decision to make.
This sounds like he's going to the NBA after all and not uncertain. Also, he and Bogdan got some time to talk after the game.@Bolts, @Sparhawk .....
Luka Doncic, who is entering the draft this year (and) hadn’t yet informed of his departure to the American league, did so at the end of the game in the press zone: “Yes, to say goodbye winning the tenth (Euroleague for Real Madrid) would be very special”, said Doncic.

He had a good game today....16 and 7 or 8....He's got his priorities straight.
The only reason I would think they take Luka is if I really believed the coach will be involved in the decision, which I don't. Ayton and SGA makes sense for them, even if a Luka/Booker backcourt would be good. Having to settle for Ayton isn't the worst outcome either. He had a good game today....16 and 7 or 8....
I was listening to the Suns GM at the combine and I think there is a good chance he falls to you.
He said his priority is Center and pg.
I think Ayton/Gilgeous-Alexander gives them more value than Doncic/Williams or another 5.
Did you know that Sexton was as small as Trae?
