NBA is a helluva lot funner to watch than years past… The league has more parity now, talent is spread out better, no super teams.. Refs aren’t calling as many cheesy fouls like before, I think being able to challenge a foul call helped that … New commish has made the league better in my opinion … I’m actually seeing defense in the paint and defenders not just moving out of the way to avoid a foul call … Now I want the Sonics back !!!!

Not the same. Once again KP is their 3rd best player and also those teams had additional injuries as well. I think if the roles are reversed those series play out differently. There is a huge difference in losing your #1 followers instead of your #3.

I think most good teams can survive and not look much different if their 3rd option gets hurt

Again... the Celtics are being graded on a curve because their roster is really, really good.

On other rosters, a key injury is fatal... for the Celtics, it's a stubbed toe.

I'll also add that folks forget how good Zinger is, particularly in a playoff situation. He's not just a 20 ppg big that stretches the floor... he is a very good defender: bigs that have some ability to defend in space are worth their weight in gold in the modern NBA.

Still missing the point. Porzingis is a 3rd option. Miami and Cleveland were without their top option in addition to the others. Let’s take Tatum or Brown off and give Miami Butler and Cleveland Mitchell back for those series. Boston might still win but those series both look completely different

But the fact that Zinger is "only" the 3rd or 4th (a case could be made for Derrick White as the 3rd most important important player on Boston's roster) is my point.

Take Austin Reaves out of the lineup and they're still going to be fine against just about any other team, especially if it's a 7-game series and they've had time to adjust to him being out as the Celtics have with Zinger.

Take Tatum or Brown out of the Celtics lineup, they're in real trouble.

Take Zinger out...not so much. Especially when playing a team missing their best player.
