I don't remember arguing in the last draft...

I agree I think we finally had a draft without argument but the past 20 we did. Separate question. What is the current rule on when we have a tie? What's the tie breaker?

Mine is we allow Ritz to draft HOFers in the next draft and the rest of us draft players who didn't make an all star game. Maybe he will win again, I don't think hes won since W was POTUS...

Even with that new rule I still think I'll lose in finals against hockey. :D I've been in a bigger drought then my sex life since getting married.

We've been drafting with odd number of teams so we haven't had a tie in a while, but in case of a tie we have owners post their ranking scores for each team.

This was just posted in the rules thread...

Starting with the NBA Bucket draft we will be required to give a score when we vote on a game and give a brief explanation of why we voted the way we did, the teams will then have a chance to rebut the score or explanation. Only one rebut per vote.

In terms of the voting there isn't much more that can be done different. I think the "process" is about as good as it can get.

I always prefer people at least gives little reason for their vote so you know why and maybe learn a little something too. And I still can't get a read on how people vote baseball I feel it changes every draft on whether hitting or pitching wins and how important bullpen is. I know Nos favors hitting and Milk gets hard as a rock for a bullpen but other than that it seems to vary. Anyways, those are just preferences. Can't really make it them a rule.

Baseball does change every draft, I have had the best lineup, the best rotation, the best pen but whichever one I have for a certain draft it seems everyone votes for the best of something else.

As I said in our texts, there is no other way to do this, we either vote or we allow outsiders to vote which we tried, it didn't work. Doing rankings, voting for all to see, sending me your votes, it doesn't matter, its all the same... You are looking for a way to take personal opinions out of it, that cant be done...
Voting may be flawed, but it is hands down, running away 100% the best way to do it IMO. We tried other ways in the beginning, and there are still several guys who never came back because of the BS. Ranking suck, because some people spend an hour, some 30 seconds. Having outsiders vote is the quickest way to blow the Mock site up, seriously. There is no better system

Almost word for word what I text Ritz. We will not be required to give a score and a brief explanation of why we voted the way we did, teams then have 1 post to explain why they may disagree...

I don't think we can get ahead of both the Angels and Astros...

O we absolutely can. It's gonna require 5-2 at worst so it's not likely. But we def can force at least a 163.

If we took 3/4 from cleveland(again not likely). I think at the very worst we enter the weekend a game back of both(meaning angels went 3-1 also and Astros went 2-1).

Then both those teams play at Texas and at Zona while we get KC(and hopefully a heavy dose of call ups) at home.
