If it started up later it shouldn't be the battery... Maybe the starter... Or maybe it was just one of those things... Take the car to autozone, they'll check the battery, starter and alternator... Battery gives power to the starter, starter starts car alternator charges battery while the cars on... That's my untrained knowledge of what is going on lol...

Does anyone know anything about cars? My wife's Charger didn't start this morning so she took my car to work. It started for me a hour later. Could this be a spark plug problem? She thinks its the battery but I don't think it is because everything turns on except the engine when we turn the key. Thoughts?

What type of sound did it make when she tried to start it?

Could be the starter. Could be the connections on the battery terminal are loose. Could be the battery it's self, but since you're in Florida I'm guessing a cold morning isn't the issue.

No noise, no clicking sound. Sometimes we would turn key and it would take a few seconds to start.

I'd guess starter... Only 2 other things IMO would be spark plugs or fuel pump, but I'd look to the easy thing first...

That is a great point! I had to change mine out and it had the same problems Ritz described... I change my answer... I'd go first connector then starter...

Could be the battery isn't connected well. If you have a wire brush maybe try and clean the connections and see if you can tighten them. The no sound thing still leaves that as a possibility.

Wlk might be right on it being the fuel pump.

Hey Florida it gets cold. I remember last year when people lost their mind when it got to 40 degrees while the rest of the country was buried in 6ft of snow. I was born in Colorado and lived most of life in VA so seeing people freak out over 40 degrees is hilarious.

Fuel pump sounds expensive and something I can't fix. Well I can't fix many things on cars. My man card should be punched because I never new anything about cars. Thanks everyone for your advice. Once I find out what the car doctors say I'll let you know. My guess is spark plug. I'll try to take a video of it and post it. However not sure how to post videos. How old is the car? Remember batteries aren't meant to last anymore, so if the battery is old check the connections, if that's not the issue I would imagine it is the starter.

Few years ago I was working in Ft. Meyers and Lake Wales during the winter. It was cold as hell. The beach was disgusting. Dead fish e'rywhere. But that was January and evidently the coldest it'd been since wholly mammoths were roaming around.
