Remember, ABA All Star games COUNT
No we don't...Also, I think in basketball drafts WE NEED to use third round reversal rules in the draft...
Yeah, then you have to go to "All-Star Selection by Player". It has NBA selections and ABA selections. It will be a little more work, but not much lol
LOLDo we have an estimated starting time for this? No rush, just wondering how much time I have to put a list together.
I have an idea for baseball....each team drafts 26 players...a defensive 9, an offensive 9, 5 starting pitchers, a closer and two set up relievers....playing a 5 game series, each game 2 days apart, so all pens on full rest....the catch is, two teams can draft the same player, just not for the same roll...example would be if Nos drafted Ruth -Off., Ritz could draft Ruth as a Starting Pitcher, but not hit him. If 500 drafted Johnny Bench for his defense, I could draft bench to hit, but not play him in the field. If you want to field him AND hit him, you'd have to pick him twice...regular draft format, each GM decides when he wants to go offense, defense or pitching...
As usual Milky, we disagree lol. I believe this would make defense much more of a factor, and bring in a lot of gold glove players to make starting pitching even stronger. Some drafts, Ozzie Smith isn't taken lol...he may be the first defender off the board in this. Also, the 5 game format makes voting simplei like the attempt of creativity, but in no way do i think this would work...
first off many of us have trouble making eligible picks when we can only draft a player once... now we can draft him up to 3 times?? try keeping up with that....
then, lets face it, defense is not as important to voters than offense and pitching... so the defense 9 will be drafted like defense and kickers in fantasy football...
i agree about the bench not being a huge factor...Also, let's be honest, bench usually means very little...your starting defense would make every pick count

OK, let's say once a player is drafted, he is gone....but again, he can only do one role. For instance, I take Bench for D, he is my catcher, but hits for no one, including me. Thoughts, Milk?I do like the concept but Milk does have a point that keeping track may be an issue
