NBA 1 on 1 tourney

If you could choose 8 players to compete in a 1 on 1 tourney, who would you choose? Who do you think would prevail?

Mine are Lebron, Durant, Harden, Curry, Davis, George (healthy), Westbrook, Kyrie.

I think durant would win.

Bron, Melo, Harden, Dame, Westbrook, Kyrie, Durant, Wall

Winner would be whomever got the ball first between Durant and Curry.

Unless the tournament is make-it-take it, I certainly wouldn't include a defenseless Melo in the competition. On the other hand, a guy like Kawai Leonard might be pretty competitive if players play defense after scoring.

The make it take it question is legit. I always assume 1 on 1 is make it take it. That's how it's played in my 'burb.

Of course it is. That's the convention on every playground on which I've ever played. If the objective is to establish the best one-on-one player in tAssociation, however, then it's pretty clear to me that the ability to defend matters just as much as the ability to score.

Even at 36 and with a torn up shoulder, Kobe would beat everyone's ass in 1 on 1. He wouldn't let them leave the court until he beat them.

I think if you include Jamal Crawford then players like J.R. Smith and Gerald Henderson should be considered as well. I also heard Chris Douglas Roberts is unbeatable in one on one.
