Absolutely. Let's give them MORE outs on the bases. When I'm trying to explain the nuances of baseball to some of my friends, I start with: Everyone says there's no clock in baseball, but there is. It's called 27 outs. You get to keep playing until you are called out 27 times. The other team can't run the clock out on you, they have to get you out 27 times, SO DON'T JUST GIVE THEM OUTS!!!

Bryce is good at baseball, but he has no clue of this concept.

I like aggressive baserunning as well, but there's a difference between aggressive and reckless. Aggressive suggests some sort of strategy and timing. Bryce just runs because he was always the biggest, fastest, bestest baseball player on the diamond and could force his way into anything. This is his 3rd year in the bigs, and he needs to figure this stuff out.

I know you know this stuff, I'm just ranting.

I think that will always be a part of him, and while it angers me now, it's not necessarily a bad thing. He will force errors by the other teams as well, as we have seen. But I do think that he needs some more game awareness and I hope that it will come.

Had to start the new series thread ASAP. Get this weekend's series out of everyone's head.

Fish are 5-2 at home and have 21-year old phenom Fernandez going game 3.

Game 1: Zimmermann - Hand
Game 2: Strasburg - Koehler
Game 3: Roark - Fernandez

All games are 7:10 starts.

Very intrigued to see Zim pitch tomorrow. It was these same Fish that lit him up to the tune of: 1.2 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 2BB, 1K just last Wedensday. I believe it was his shortest outing in his career.

Detwiler owns the braves, why they didn't start him in any of the first 6 games is beyond me.

Giancarlo only went 2 for 12 (2 singles), with 1 walk and 1 RBI in the last series against the Nats. Biggest reason why DC swept them. Dont count on those numbers again. Hope they still dont pitch to him.
