Nothing worse than the flu when it's hot.

Center field is looking a little ragged after the McCartney concert and the brutal heat.

This conversation about pitching "wins" being the most important thing is infuriating. Yes, FP, the name of the game is to win. Winning the game and the pitcher being credited with the win are two different things. A pitcher that gives up less runs is better than a pitcher that gives up more runs, regardless of the pitcher's win-loss record. The guy that gives up fewer runs gives his team the better chance to win EVERY DAMN TIME. That is not opinion, that is fact.

It sounds like you are enjoying FP just as much as the folks here in the Bay Area did when he was doing Giants games.

The funny thing is, I actually like FP. I just don't like that line of thinking, no matter who it's from. FP may not be the best color guy around, but he does ok. He's certainly a step up from Dibble. And while he seems to have found his legs in New York, Ron Darling was godawful while he was here. So with a low bar, he's the best we've had.

I agree. I dont even look at a pitchers win/loss record. The main stats i look at for a pitcher are ERA, WHIP, innings pitched, strikeout to walk ratio

Puig with the gun to try and get Harper at 3rd. Called safe, not sure if he was until I see the replay. Great throw either way.

Replay shows they got the call wrong, he got him. I'll take the break.

I'm sure a lot of the advanced sabermetric pitching stats are good, too, but I haven't invested any time to see what they mean or how to use them.

BigDDude, feel free to stick around this series. I can't speak for hokiehi, but I like to post with other teams' fans. :suds:

I've never seen so many pickoff throws to 2nd base in one inning.
