Longer I watch Saban, more I'm convinced he's a great conditioner, motivator and recruiter, but not that great of a coach when it comes to scheming plays.

Really great coaches nowadays aren't master X's and O's guys.

They are master motivators, visionaries, and keepers to their task. Maybe at one time they were great at WR, or QB, or CB, LB, or DB, or whatever. They moved on to getting those around them committed to the cause at hand on a daily basis to become great, and expect nothing other than great.

haven't watched much Bama in the past couple of years, but how is Jacobs not ahead of Harris on the depth chart? Just seems like a much more explosive back IMO

His grades aren't as good?
