from 43's favourite Columbus based scribe:

Aaron Portzline ‏@Aportzline ...the teams I know to be on the list are Detroit, NY Rangers, Philadelphia and San Jose. To be clear: there could be one or two more.

Nash for Logan Couture...Does Doug Wilson even pick up the phone?

I hope not. Logan is cheaper and, in my opinion, a better two way player. That's not a slight against Nash, I just really like Logan's game.

Plus Couture is way prettier...

Now I can't confirm this, but I'm hearing rumors that Nash is going to end up on a North American team.

Reporter 1 has confirmed Reporter 2's report that Reporter 3 correctly confirmed Reporter 4's report

WAAAAAAAY too much value in Logan's contract, imo, to even entertain the idea. But I'm in the distinct minority among fan opinions regarding Doug Wilson.

well ... i for one commend him on narrowing down the Nash suitors to 20% of the teams in the league!

That was part of Howson's asking price and SJ told him to go fuck himself.

Here's what I hear: Nash's list was the four mentioned, plus two, allegedly Calgary and Vancouver. NOT Toronto...

Howson burned the bridges in SJ and Philly already, NYR doesn't seem to have the space and Detroit would just be stupid.

He had a bonafide deal for Nash with Ottawa that (allegedly) included Foligno and Lehner +, but Nash said no. This was deadline day. Now, Murray has told Howson also to fuck off.

Apparently Carolina is heavy on the phone, but again Nash has said no. Not sure what is in the Carolina package, but I shudder to think of what Staal - Staal - Nash would do to the league.

Some people have said that Nash has actually eliminated Calgary and Vancouver from the list.

Bottom line; he wants to stay and is exercising his right to stay put. The team has made some positive changes since he made the request. Why wouldn't he want to stay?

All accounts are that Ryan Murray on the ice today was a thing of beauty. Kid seems legitimately excited to be here. And Boone Jenner has added pounds too. Looks like both newly drafted goalies are here. I am thinking of going down there tomorrow.

Honestly, I think that is the best option for him. He tells a reporter that he would waive if it would help the franchise, the media jumped all over it and suddenly he hates the team and can't wait to leave.

Mostly hype, I think.

The bottom line is, he hasn't said JACK in public since then. There has been a trade deadline, a draft and Free Agency day. Nothing.

I just don't see anyone being quiet that long if it's really on his mind.

Don't talk to Portzline. Ever.

Personally I wish the Wings would drop-out of the Parise game and go after Nash, I like his style of play and he is a bigger body. But that's just my opinion.
