Imperfect is an understatement. The push is for college football to be more like the nfl, which is absurd. I almost wish we'd just say muck it and go back to bowl games where the committee does their best to put together the most entertaining match-ups. That's sort of what they're doing anyways.

Nah, I hated the old system, in 91 the Huskies and Miami SHARED the national championship… Shared ? Nah man, Huskies and Hurricanes should have PLAYED each other… They were even talking about going to a neutral field somewhere and just playing but the NCAA would never allow it … I’m happy they’re going to a 12 teams playoff next year…

The SEC has long won the PR battle that they're the best, and I think you've got to give it to them that they're right. This is why Alabama is in and FSU is out. If Florida State trounces Georgia, then they can make this claim that they're the real champ. If Georgia wins, then the CFP committee and the SEC will remind everyone that they were right

Eh.. not convinced. I would guess UGA will win w/FSU backup QB in there, but I don't think they will dominate. UGA didn't really dominate Georgia Tech, then lost to Bama who should have lost to garbage Auburn. Guess we will see.

And you're still thinking about that season? There's too much of an emphasis on crowning this true national champ. Given the way college football works, this is just too hard. Especially when schools are largely responsible for putting their own schedules together.

Now the bowl games don't mean anything except for the ones that are part of the CFP.

They certainly don't mean enough. Playing Ohio State in a bowl game sounds prestigious until a quarter of their team declares for the draft.
