Yep. Technically ,they play across the street.Does South Carolina still play out at the fairgrounds?
Nebraska's stadium is incomplete. It's still missing a good 25,000 seats.Michigan.
They call that shithole a stadium?
Oh I know that. But everything is for sale if you catch my drift. Not that they can’t afford it. There’s no place to build it in Coral Gables and the locals there would never stand for a huge stadium in or around the campus.
It’s Miami. Not that they can’t afford it. There’s no place to build it in Coral Gables and the locals there would never stand for a huge stadium in or around the campus.
True enough. But the campus is smack dab in the middle of residential zoning and the homes are in the millions. It’s Miami.
A couple of those temporary aluminum bleachers you see at girls softball complexes would hold their average home game attendance.
It's all going to be underwater soon so it doesn't really matter. Their home stadium will soon be in Georgia.True enough. But the campus is smack dab in the middle of residential zoning and the homes are in the millions.
Try telling Thurston Howell III to sell his estate to da U to build a stadium so the dade country cholos can show up and party in your neighborhood every Saturday.
They are better off building their own at like Tropical Park which is a lot closer to the campus than Dolphins stadium.
It seems such a waste of money they have shuttles running non stop from campus to the stadium to deliver the students there.

But Miami is surely fucked. So maybe they'll only have to move to Orlando.
I live in Miami and I’m not required to have flood insurance. They say worst case the ocean will rise 1 ft by the end of the century. It would have to rise 20x’s that amount to affect me where I live.
The beach maybe. And some of the low lying parts. I don’t think the Gables, except for the extreme southern parts, has much to worry about. But Miami is surely fucked. So maybe they'll only have to move to Orlando.
It was a bond. Are we counting colleges that use taxpayer dollars to build and renovate? Like Husky Stadium for example.
If "play" is a euphemism for shitting themselves, then yes. They still play there.Does South Carolina still play out at the fairgrounds?
And pray tell how is a bond funded???It was a bond.
Technically true but... they've been granted control of the Coliseum and have put a good chunk of money into renovations of the stadium.
