TREFF
Fantasy Football Guru--??
So there's entirely too much silence going on in here.
I highly doubt most of these happen, but some have merit based in reality and none are all that far fetched.
QB moves-
Aaron Rodgers stays put in GB. It's not realistic to think he goes anywhere, but I do think it's perfectly reasonable to consider the situation as one that COULD force a move.
Raiders trade D. Carr to the Colts for 2 #1's.
Raiders trade 3 #1's and C. Ferrell to Houston for D. Watson
The Eagles trade Wentz to NE..in typical Belichick fashion, the Eagles get fleeced in the deal.
The Jets stick with Darnold, trade the #2 pick to the Lions.
Lions draft Fields, as their next Andre Ware.
Denver signs either Dalton or Fitzmagic to "compete" with Lock. Possibly draft a rook at 9, but likely won't until 2022
Houston signs whichever one Denver doesn't, to bridge whoever they take in the draft.
Dallas retains Dak, at less than he turned down last offseason.
Winston re-signs in N.O.
WFT sticks with Smith
Da Bears are stuck with status quo
SF stands pat.
I cannot foresee Cam Newton getting signed with any serious consideration as a starter. And any team that does sign him needs to be strong at the starter spot so there's no controversy as to whether Cam should be getting a look. Maybe Baltimore as RG3's replacement as clipboard holder? At least they wouldn't have to adjust the offense if Lamar goes down..Cam can't throw either.
RB's-
Lots of big names are UFA's this offseason, not many teams NEED one, and the draft is certainly a cheaper way to go.
Kamara, Cook, and Mixon stay where they are. I have no idea how the Saints fit him in the cap, but they get it done.
Fournette to the Steelers perfect fit for the prototypical bruising Steelers. Could also see the Seahawks if Petey is truly committed to re-re-establishing the run game.
Carson to Houston. I fully expect the draft pick haul they get for Watson to be spent on defense and oline. Carson would be a great fit for a team to lean on during the rebuild, and after a "down" season, likely wouldn't be too costly.
Aaron Jones to TB, R. Jones dramatically improved from 2018 to today, the problem is, a dramatic improvement from "sucks" isn't saying much. If they want to take full advantage of Brady's remaining few years, a solid RB is the next step.
Marlon Mack to ARZ. not sure he is an answer any better than Drake, but he's likely to be cheaper, and he's definitely not worse. Fully expect ARZ to draft a back in the 2-4 that could easily compete for the role.
Gurley, Drake, L. Bell, Hyde, McKinnon, Coleman, J. Williams..they all sign, but, who cares where
WR-
Godwin and A. Brown stay in TB, M. Jones stays in DET
OBJ is traded to the Eagles, where Hurts just throws jump balls all day long to him with moderate success.
Gallup is traded to Miami as they go all in on Tua after seeing what Buffalo did after they got Allen weapons.
AROB is LACharger bound, unless Da Bears seriously address QB, I think AROB is gone, and where better than a team with a top young gunslinger? Chargers will need to keep pace with the Chiefs (and maybe the Raiders if they get Watson), and AROB is an easy upgrade on Mike Williams..and this would allow K. Allen to tear up the slot corners
S. Watkins- NYJ, Dude has his SB, maybe even two of them depending on this Sunday..now he'll get paid, again.
TY Hilton to KC. doubtful he'll want to break in another QB, or deal with Brissett. Signs a very team friendly deal to play with Mahommes
K. Golladay heads to NE, whoever they get at QB, needs someone to throw to.
Fuller is a tough one..if Houston keeps Watson, he stays. If not, I see him signing with the Jets or possibly Philly.
JuJu- Houston..I dunno why, they need one, he needs a new start, why not?
