I was watching Bitchin’ Rides the other night and they had a car that they throttled back to 2,000 streetable HP (it had been closer to 4,000 with race fuel). I just kept wondering what you could possibly do with it. It was cool though.

That kinda reminds me of The blue Flame car that set land records back in the 70s I believe........They raced it out in the desert somewhere.........

Mom and dad use to know an owner/driver of one of those desert rocket cars.

My dad got rear ended this week.

I know..... don't sound right.

He was given a check by insurance company for half of what he bought car for. Damage is just cosmetic and nothing structural. They are thinking of just figuring out a way to keep trunk secure and keep on trucking till it falls apart. They have a newer Dodge Ram if they go anywhere where they might be seen.

Totally drivable. just the back end bruised up with a smash on the trunk. Brake lights didn't even crack.

OK, was going to say sometimes insurance co will sell you the totaled vehicle for 500 before it goes to auction.

I believe legally you have the first right to buy your totaled vehicle if you so choose. But they won't ask you, you have to ask them.
