That's relevant to predicting this year how?

Because there is nothing outstanding to indicate this year will be any better or worse than any other season in recent years. Thus relistically 4 losses could be expected.
Of course one more loss is very possible just as 1 less loss but what is so "realistic" about a preseason prediction of losing more this year than any other year recently.

edit: And actually with a juco transfer and additional experience in some seniors I would say if one was to expect something different it would be less losses.

Just a question:

How can you have USC ahead of Oregon considering the Ducks are 3x PAC champs?

Anyone that has USC as number 1, have you looked at their schedule? They go to Washington, Utah, and Stanford. They might not even win their division if Utah knocks them off (Utah nearly beat them last year in LA). This is the same USC team that beat Minnesota by 4 points and got hammered by Arizona State last year. Utah dodges Oregon and Stanford and could easily win enough games if they can knock off USC (I can even see Utah going unbeaten).

I have USC going 10-2 but I wouldn't be surprised if they fair worse.

USC will have issues with depth. Their passing offense is horrendous.

I agree. Check out my polls.

How can anyone be ahead of LSU after what LSU did last year to the rest of the NCAA not named Alabama.

Alabama and LSU are on their own level right now above the rest of the teams.

I hope LSU gets low balled in the polls. Last thing we need is everyone getting cocky like last year. ALSO! no JJ!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!! OMG! NO MORE JJ AND JL!!!!!!

I don't have a problem with how you have it. I think you are overlooking Iowa State. Paul Rhodes is doing a good job building that program. Ranked? No. But they should be on the list next to Iowa. I think they'll be better than Iowa, but Iowa will have a better record due to schedule. Iowa doesn't play Wisconsin or Ohio State.

what rolltide said, I meant to quote his post not this one. Though I do see Oregon winning a 2nd meeting against USC if they get one which they most likely will, which will also likely mean a championship game berth for Oregon.

I tried to avoid any schedules or predictions of a teams record in making these rankings sir

for the bolded part you mean passing defense right? Their passing offense is among the best with one of the best QBs in college football along with the best wide reciever duo in college football.

Iowa State is a team that I have always kept in the back of my mind as a potential sleeper sir

In my honest opinion, I think USC is overrated this year. Like VOLbound pointed out, they have a tough schedule going to Utah, Washington and Stanford. Plus hosting Oregon. The Trojans could very well lose 3 games total this year.
