Well Guys its after Turkey day and while the sky is not falling its damn sure raining them big ole fat cold Raindrops that drench everything.

1. This coaching staff just does not have the ability to adjust when things go south. Pick your example from any season but the Chaz Green debacle is mine, WTH were they thinking?
2. Dak and Dez are really not a compatible pair Dak throws the short and intermediate pass very well. However that is not Dez's strong point he is a back shoulder jump ball sideline guy or a deep slant or a deep ball receiver and that is not the QB that Dak is right now.
3. The offense is looking dated IMO I am not really sure who's offense it is but you have to tailor the play calling to the personnel that are available. Again adjustments
4. I really like Rod but its time to move on it looks like the game has moved past him and his Tampa 2 not as bad as Monty but it has moved on.
5. While Dallas has made some very good calls on draft day the whiffs are looking bigger and bigger. Jaylon is a guy I want to succeed but he is not their yet and should not be on the field. Taco well its to early to really say but I sure would have rather had the Watts kid. That was a Marinelli call from what I have heard. That looks like a mistake so far. And why the coaching staff is not just playing the young secondary and living with the mistakes is beyond me.

Bottom line we need some fresh blood high in the coaching staff and a bunch of holes filled on the team on both sides of the ball. Lots of pieces to fill in no particular order -Linebacker at least 2 Guard/Tackle RB DL WR.

Depending on the rest of the season the list of needs could change. And I'm not even going to go into the Jerry factor all that does is cause fights like a liberal and a conservative having to share the same car on a cross country drive they might survive but the car is ready for the scrap heap no matter who was driving.

Garrett see the above comment just not as bad, more like a bad Mother N Law you put up with her because you love your wife.

Cheers Boys

Nice write up. To be honest... when Zeke is in the Cowboys have a SB offense. He is such a tremendous player. A receiving TE would be fantastic in this O and Witten can stay around because of his elite blocking. They need a big time DT and Safety. I million percent guarantee Dallas will be back next year.

Was listening to talk radio this morning and they said Witten might be in the running for the Tennessee head coaching position. Is that true?

Wit is so fed up with administration in Knoxville, he threw his name out there. Not sure how serious he was but he supposedly wants to get into coaching.

A lot of really good points. The San Diego game should spell the end for Coach Rod. I read where Phillip Rivers was calling out literally every blitz we ran. We were matching up LB's and Safeties on Keenan Allen. The tackling remains a total embarrassment. I dare anyone to go back and watch the second half of the Philly game and the Charger game and tell me the defense didn't quit in those games.
I think with the type of offense the Cowboys have, which can be excellent with Zeke, the Cowboys bend but don't break defensive scheme is the opposite of what they need. Turnovers are the name of the game, and we have been at the bottom of the barrel in forcing turnovers forever.
The offense needs a big play receiver to be sure, and the Zeke suspension may save Garrett this year. No excuses next year though IMO

Yeah, I appreciated Colors analysis, too.

Where I'm a bit further along than you and he are is in connection with Garrett. He's been HC for 8 years now. I could be mis-remembering, but it seems that 50% of his years as HC we have been saying, "He won't have any excuses next year."

I believe Garrett is a fine human being, just by the way he talks about his players and by the way the players talk about him. What I don't believe is that he has the proper mindset or skillset to be a HC in the NFL. The absence of Zeke isn't what has caused his inability to make adjustments in a game. Garrett can't even make adjustments at halftime. He doesn't pull enough out of his players because he doesn't pull enough out of himself or his coaches. To me, it looks like Garrett quit right along with the defense in the last two games. He just looked disinterested by the fourth quarter.

I'm not saying it will happen, but my guess is that we have an interim coach before the end of the season.

After that Eagles game Alshon Jeffrey and Jay Ajayi both said, "The D quit and didn't want to tackle in the 2nd half". I know it sucks being 5-6 after going 13-3 but Dallas will be back. Zeke is your MVP and everything falls into place when he's rolling including keping the ball away from the other team. Frustrating season and things need to be fixed but the core is there.

I believe if garrett survives this year, Rod will be gone, and Garret better have the team on a fast start next year or i can see him gone by bye week.

Have to agree. I wanted Watt as well. The only part of rods D I like is the aggressive D LINE. Other than that I don't like it. The secondary is a dumpster fire. I say put Jones at corner and see if he has anything. He is a bust at safety. Awuzie at safety in Jones spot.

I haven't paid attention to Jones so I have no input but if he can't play S he definitely can't play CB.

Jason Witten Squashes Tennessee Rumor, Turns Focus To Washington

“For me, certainly coaching is something I can see myself down the road, having one of those opportunities. But right now I’m all in with this team and my feet are planted firmly here with this opportunity that I have in 2017 – getting it right this week.”

You might want to avoid any and all sports "news" traceable to Clay Travis. Like this one.

Lol. Clay was a radio talk show host here in Nashvegas for a quite a few yrs. The idea of Witten was a joke to me. Likely whoever started this rumor watched Thanksgiving day and heard that Wit wanted to get into coaching after football playing days are over. I never got once thought this was a possibility. With that being said, I could easily see Witten expressing his frustrations with his former school and the dumpster fire it has become the last few yrs, not to mention the fiasco Sunday with Schiano. Word is now that they have offered to double Mike Gundys salary to 8.4 million. As far as me saying Witten expressed interest or whatever, I should have just said let his frustrations and consents be known. Tennessee might have an ignorant ass AD and admin. , but they aren't stupid enough to consider a current Pro Football player for their HC job.
