He just doesn't breed confidence. Every throw he makes looks tentative. He looks unsure of where his players will be. I don't see him picking up his players.

I think he looks like he knows the plays and where guys will be. I think he just doesn't take to pressure very well. My biggest issue with Kirk is he throws INTs and can't be the difference in a W/L.

So then should we bench him and put in McCoy?? Because I think we all know what is really going to happen in three weeks.

We simply need to realize that if we can't play our game with running we are going to lose.

I agree. But the problem is, if we lose next week, you can bet your last dollar RG3 will be starting before I get back.

yep. Game fell out of script too fast. Skins had a chance to keep the running game and their identity in it, but Kirk couldn't hit some open guys and they settled for FGs and not TDs.

I don't think we see RG3 suited up ever again (for the Redskins). Why risk the cap hit if he gets injured?

Mainly because 1/3 the fanbase and the owner want to see him on the field. Special teams left us hung out to dry early, Kirk played average at best, and the defense was average at best.

Two moe weeks of this and you can bet there will be a QB change.

It matters how we lose the games.

This game was putrid. But we got exactly what we knew we would when we asked KC to throw that many times.

You got RG3 paranoia going on man. He's not coming back.

Guys we need a quarterback. Even on his completions the receivers were forced to make adjustments all night long. So frustrating watching a QB play like that and I totally buy that he played scared.

Very very difficult to win consistantly with a QB like this.

We simply need to realize that if we can't play our game with running we are going to lose.

That just won't work against good teams in the NFL. Teams are going to stack the line so that the RB is going to have to get through 8 or more people which will not work most of the time. You need to have a QB who can at least make throws to open players to make teams think twice about employing this approach.

Cousins missed wide open players numerous times last nt. That is as big of a concern as the INTs. You can't have weapons like Reed and Jackson (when he returns) & not take advantage of them. Oh well - maybe we need to wait a few years before the Redskins have an effective QB.

KC is who we all know he is. A young, inexperienced average QB. He got rattled a bit after the first int, but then regrouped a bit in the second half. But if we get behind, KC is not the one to put the team on his back and carry us to victory. That QB is not on this team.

But let's face reality, this team made so many mistakes last night that KC is not our biggest problem. To start off with, we were out coached. Then we made, again, stupid critical penalties that killed momentum and drives. KC is a momentum QB. When he gets on a roll, he can be laser sharp. But these penalties that kill big plays just stalls all rhythm he gets going.

As for coaching, this ST coach needs to be canned immediately. Plummer was just activated and put on the punt team. It was clear he hadn't a clue how to block. Yet they stuck him on the edge. WTF? He obviously had never played that position before. What coach in ther right mind sticks a rookie in that critical spot on the line with no training?

Good call on Plummer. So sad that ST have gone from traditionally being a Redskins strength to being such a weakness. At least the late kickoff return for a TD provides some hope - very good job on that one. The kicker also shows major promise.

Unfortunately - a lot of the mistakes are going to happen with a young, rebuilding team like the Redskins. KC may not have been their only problem, but I would identify him as the biggest one last nt. The 1st INT was a momentum killer & probably influenced the Giants to pretty much dare Cousins to throw. I just am really doubting that Cousins will ever have what it takes to be a starting NFL QB. We have had more than an adequate sample size at this pt.

Time to look at this objectively & realize that this season will likely be a matter of seeing how well the rebuilding is progressing & which players stay & which ones go (which may include all of the QBs).

There was certainly enough blame to go around but it starts with the QB. If he is never going to be a player to carry the team at times then he is useless, things will never be perfect. Mark Rypien had a perfect situation in '91. But like most all QBs at that level he simply could not sustain success due to his limitations and afterr that magical season his was a footnote. As posted earlier Kirk has had more than a fair chance to show what he is. And again he has shown that he is just not good enough.

It appears you may be right, but he is still the best we've got given the situation we are in. With our luck, we revert back to Griffin and he gets injured, neutering is for next year.

As I watched Kirk dodge traffic in the pocket I was wondering just how many sacks Griffin would have taken.
