Never mind. I think you mean the juggle catch. Yes, Butler was on Kearse with safety help. Butler actually played it well, just a nice bounce for Kearse.
99.9% of the time, that is an incomplete pass.

I agree with OP. As for the completions and completion %, that was mainly because he was throwing 5 yard routes and quick passes (not to take away from Tom).
I just think with his two interceptions he shoudn't have gotten it. Edelman was the offensive MVP and Butler the defensive MVP.
Also, hats off to Chris Matthews! Stud for a guy who was working at a Shoe Locker. And Kearse for staying with that ball for the catch at the end (even though he could have put that game away with the drop on 3rd down earlier in the game).
Grats to both teams
Not hating on Brady but I just question his MVP selection.
I think Butler or Edelman were more deserving.
Thoughts?
I could see Edleman, but 12-14, 2 TD's in the 4th quarter, 8-8 on the last drive, against that defense....not too shaby
As much as Butler's play was the key single play of the game, I'm not sure one play makes an MVP.
Brady deserved it for the two 4th quarter drives against a great defense.
Pete Carroll and Darrell Bevell Co MVPs
who we kidding?
I do think Brady was the MVP. Edelman was the only other person I could see getting it but Brady was clearly the most valuable to the team in the win. But question: has anyone won the MVP after throwing two picks?
He had to throw the ball 50 times. He had little help in regards to the running game. Nobody was asked to do more than he was. He completed 74% of his passes for over 300 yards and 4 TDs. He had to lead his team back from a double digit deficit in the 4th quarter.
I think the guy earned this one.
4 tds to 4 different receivers against the no#1 D, down 10 points in 4th Q. Edelman would have been the 2nd most deserving
I would still give it to edelman... I know this is not true, but watching him makes me believe like he tried harder and wanted it more than any other patriot... Maybe it is just the way he plays, and maybe it was because he was injured the whole game.
Actually before the Game I told my son that Edelman would be MVP if they won and have 11 catches, half right. I think he is the MVP of the team for the season with Brady and Gronk following. But when Seattle shut down the running game, and falling all on Brady, with 0 T/O's from D till last play, to throw 4Tds to 4 different receivers and overcoming a 10 pt deficit, he deserved it
