Aggie... I've had Zappa going on Pandora all morning so far... He is pretty killer on the geetar. Sometimes he goes a little overboard with his humor (lyric wise), but the guitar playing makes up for it big time. He is almost flawless live.

Some of the solos you have heard could possibly have come from some luminary guitar gods as well...Adrian Belew, Steve Vai, etc. as they both "interned" with Mr. Zappa.

Yes, I've seen some of Zappa's live footage with Vai. Vai is indeed a Guitar God in a creative sense. I enjoy Satch a little more however. It is very hard to top "Tender Surrender" and "For the Love of God" though.

Not music per se...but the tone I've sensed here at the Hoopler really needs a proper cleansing.

Set phasers to DERP.

Aggie, you won't like much of Devin Townsend's work, but check out his Ghost album... If you dig extremely chill ambient music. Some songs he fuses almost like an orient sound to them. Its really awesome, he released the album along with Deconstruction, which is more metal oriented.

Yeah I agree, the lyrics DO go a bit overboard sometimes, but he's so damn creative about the way he describes stuff. This song has some really interesting guitar on it...
