Nice to see Heredia come up with the clutch hit after the blowpen did what it does best.

I have heard a lot of people saying it went out, but I watched it on Root. Odd.

Yeah I didn't have any problem watching live. Must have been cable providers, not Root itself.

Also, Altavilla...

Heard about that TV outage. Have to admit I turned it off shortly after the blowpen gave up the tie score.

They said those watching on the standard definition channel were still able to watch it, only the HD locally was out. A reminder to always try the lower station when any HD channel does go out or gets choppy. That's the first thing I would have done.

This team is somehow back within 2 games of .500 and only 2 games out of the WC. All of this with half of the team on the DL. Who knows what the end result becomes, but I have to tip my hat to them for not giving up. IMO, it's the fact that we have young guys not willing to give up because at the end of the day they are still trying to make a name for themselves. A team full of vets would have folded by now knowing that the mansion is built and the Bentley is in the drive way. Luckily for us we have some really solid talent from the farm keeping us a float, bodes well for the future if not this year.

Youth brings hope and energy. You just have to make sure the youth can play along with that and this is the first year in decades we have had multiple youth playing and contributing. I forgot what that was like. Best group since the '95 group?

Hands down!

The last time we even had a solid team was when Gillick was in charge, but his teams weren't constructed from the farm. I think that in a couple of years, whether good or bad, we will be defined by the farm under JeDi. I don't see him trying to snag a roster of high contracts and I'm ok with that. Like Mike Salk mentioned, if this team isn't going to win this year then we need to blow it up and start over with the youth movement. I feel that we are a lot closer than most may think. Clear guys like Seager, Cruz, and Kuma (looks inevitable regardless, but...) and invest in guys like Segura, Haniger (we have 6 years of control anyways), and Paxton (his contract should reflect his liability or trade him). The reality is Felix and Cano are here for the long haul so no need in assuming anything different.
