The Angels are only one game behind the Rangers. What if the Rangers are 12 to 13 games back at the All-Star break. Will they become sellers?

We have been hearing "next year" and trust the process on the rebuilding from the inside for 9 years from this group. Seriously, the guys they first brought in on the farm are either already up, gone from baseball (or at least the team), or are in their 30's. How many more years are we supposed to be patient for?

Every year they refuse to shoot for the next step in supporting a postseason run by going for the big moves in either the offseason or in season up to the trade deadline. At least when it comes to position players.

Why would we get our hopes up that they might do so in a year where there are fewer sellers and it looks like you are going to have to give up more to make a trade than what it might have taken before they expanded the WC and left more muddled middle teams that can hold onto hope longer.

It will take a big trade to get the solid bat and I have no doubt they won't. We will get excuses again, hear about the 54% stuff, guys in the farm being closer, and finish this year falling away coming up short yet again. Why would would we expect different?

I so agree with the above!! Not sure what it will take?? New ownership?? Get rid of Jerry and Scott? My brother passed away back in September. He was a solid Mariner's fan. Year after year he would hope for post game activity and maybe a shot at a World Series showing. Makes me wonder how many fans have had high hopes for the M's but didn't live long enough to see it happen. Wonder how many of us will experience the thrill and excitement in our lifetime? Seatt;e area fans so deserve a winning combination of ownership and leadership. Just so sad to see the numbers of posters on this sight get fed up with the season after season of mediocre results and don't care to follow or post anymore.

My mother was a huge M's fan from the start. Took me to games through the 70' into the 90's. She passed away a couple of year ago. Same thing. Never got to see it.

M’s offense is just putrid, we wouldn’t do anything in the post season anyway…No chance with these bats … Pitching keeps us in games but we can’t rely on that all the time … M’s upper brass knew dam well they weakened the offense considerably
