The next closest team is the A's at 868.
They don't just have a lead, they are heading toward lapping teams.
They are on pace to reach 1,665 K's for the season. A mark that would lead the all-time single season team strikeouts set by the Twins last year at 1,654. The M's had 1,603 last year to finish second all-time.

They blasted out half the team to address K's and are now on pace to add 60+ more as a team than last year.
