I laughed when I read that. Anyone who knows team knows this is a load of crap. The sports media says dumb crap like this to pity us, same as when the Mariners crap the offseason and a few in the media pick them to win the world series.

I have absolutely zero faith they will bring in the bat(s) this team needs. And knowing this team they will probably trade for a pitcher and keep ignoring the bats.

The biggest problem they have with improving their offense is it is either Robert or Bichette. A lot of the other rumored guys who will be available are 1B/DH guys. The M’s don’t have room on the roster unless they can get trade France and Haniger

Aggressively improving is finding hitters that are .250 avg plus because that’s better than 85% of our team… Hard to get excited about that…

after that, soooo many days off compared to the first half. it's been a brutal last couple months schedule wise, no way around that. long fucking season. part of me is still optimistic about october.
