Damn I thought that was gone by Seager. I rarely say, "That's gone" and am wrong, but that sounded legit off the bat. Damn...
Paxton looked good tonight. Looks like he ran out of gas at the end, which is understandable after being on the DL for a while, but no runs on three hits and no walks in his first start in four weeks is impressive either way.

Paxton looked legit... I was surprised how polished he looked after being on the DL for so long.
And of course Zunino continues to tease.
Is this like last time? Get in a groove and reel us in only to drop us on our heads?
Lot of offense and 3 pretty good pitching performances in a row. Still a few challenging teams coming up this month. Can they build on this?
Sweeping the Rockies who were 33-19 when the series started. Getting swept by the Blue Jays who were 13-21 when the series started. This is so typical of recent Mariner teams - playing up or down to the level of the competition, but never forming their own true identity. Always flirting with .500 and therefore never having a clear game plan at the trade deadline. Is this like last time? Get in a groove and reel us in only to drop us on our heads?

Just got home so really didn't have a chance to watch much of this. I knew it would be tough getting the W with Gallardo on the mound, but 3 out of 4 from the Rockies isn't bad. Cruz and Segura both got hurt though? What the fuck is going on with this team?
