Bringing this conversation here.Watching Julio and Kelenic game to game and at bat to at bat it is so apparent who is blessed with big league talent and who is having fun playing the game.
Kelenic is not necessarily a 'bust' IMO .... BUT he needs a serious intervention of a head shrink and / or a mythical batting - swing coach @ this point.
I think they keep pushing him out there for the next month or 2 to get a greater sampling size of what they truly have. Maybe the light comes on and he gets his average up to .225ish and gets his K rate down to 20% and is not a liability in the lineup the way he is now. Whoever bats in front of Kelenic in the lineup is going to rarely see any hittable pitches due to the other team wanting Kelenic standing in the box to strike him out.
He may not be a BUST but right now he is a solid BUS_*
Join the damn club. Because you guys tend to quit early every year, NO ONE deserves to be happy with you.
It's what they do best. Show up with as little as possible, and have fewer hits than an '80s synth band. Are the Mariners really gonna get shutout in Houston again? This is starting to get depressing.
Told ya...2019 all over again.Back to back shutouts. 4 hits.
I've seen this movie before.
Oh yeah, it'll happen.
I agreeI can handle losing. Even streaks. It's these long spells of anemic hitting that just wears you down.
