Well the averages aren’t as high as I thought. I’m too lazy, now do the pitchers lolThe example is how they made-up the lineup. Veteran hitters with success in the big leagues. No there won't be another 116 win season, but hitting is contagious, or lack of hitting as well, and being solid up and down the lineup changes the game tremendously.
2001/Career
Wilson .265/.262
Olerud .302/.295
Boone .331/.266
Guillen .259/.285
Bell .260/.257
Martin .240/.276
Cameron .267/.249
Ichiro Rookie
Edgar .306/.312
McLemore .286/.259
Javier .292/.269
Buhner .222/.254
Outside of Boone, roids, and Ichiro, rookie unknown, the numbers are pretty much the same. So hitting on Boone and Ichiro were obviously the difference and probably unattainable today in free agent signings but we aren't looking to win 116 just 90-95 would be nice. Solid over spectacular.
The immaculate inning is the one I am confused by. Is the definition where it is 3 pitches which is what I have read after googling or the way I grew up with the way Niehaus use to say when Randy threw 9 pitches and struck everyone out.Just for you Goldshits #1
No clue. As soon as Goldshit starts talking I stop listening. I would go with the Randy example. The immaculate inning is the one I am confused by. I googled it and it says an inning where a pitcher throws an inning with just 3 pitches. But growing up it was striking out the side on 9 pitches. So guess not sure which one is better considering both are great. But f exit velo and launch angle. Batting averages have plummeted when those two got introduced into baseball. Stupid crap has been moved into HS and JRHSNo clue. As soon as Goldshit starts talking I stop listening. I would go with the Randy example.
Called by Niehaus. Blowers made the ridiculous prediction. The Greatest Prediction In Sports History.....by the man...Dave Niehaus
Weren't 6 of those against Felix?Kikuchi might finally be finding it. Pretty incredible outing today, and that play he made on the chopper in the 7th was really athletic.
All in all we got through that 8 game gauntlet pretty well. 1 real hiccup inning in game 3 killed us, but that's not going to happen often.
We should miss Ohtani pitching in the next series, and for the love of god, walk Trout every time you can! They posted his 1st inning stats against us the other day. Dude has 15 1st inning HRs!
