Heyward by a landslide. The dude was supposed to be the best player on the Cubs team according to his salary but he was by far the worst offensive player and was benched for majority of the year and the postseason. He's a great defensive player and does have some pop in his swing but he rarely makes good contact so I'd say give him one more prove it season then eat the salary if he can't produce.

At least Heyward has shown in the past that he has potential.

What has Brock Lobster ever shown?

Asswiper has proven to be an elite QB at the HS level. hahah. Well he's not even making half as much as elite QB's but played like the worst starting QB in the NFL.

Hayward has played like the worst OF in the MLB but is paid like the best OF in the game. Yes he's proven a little more but based off just this season Hayward has been the most overpaid.

I'd go with Heyward. When they signed him, I couldn't believe the number he netted. He's a top tier defender, but he was paid like he was a top run producer, which he is not, in my opinion. The Cubs' 2016 results made his numbers fly a bit under the radar. To be fair, it was his first season with the Cubs, so he still has time to make the contract not look atrocious.

Heyward by far. Greinke is a pitcher and it was bound to have him fall "flat" per his standards. Alonso is a close 2nd. Left turn... Left Turn, left turn and you guessed it, another left turn. Granted you have to be in GREAT shape to do this.

I'd throw in Pablo Sandoval.

But who ever said Arod is correct. He was perfectly healthy and was paid nearly the amount of his remaining contract to just walk away. It appears this payment will go against the Yankees for luxury tax purposes in 2017. Think about it - the Yankees said that not only should you not play every day, but if someone gets hurt, we rather bring in a youngster (or have another relic on the team) take your at bats. We don't even want you in the clubhouse. But here's $21 mill. Pretty amazing.

Bobby Bonilla
not true:suds:

To criticize the deal is to not understand that Bonilla gained nothing and the Mets actually came out ahead in the deal.

If Bonilla had accepted the $5.9 million in 2000 and invested the entire amount at 8% interest, the original investment would have grown to $104.1 million by 2035*. If instead, Bonilla takes his annual payment and invests that with an 8% annual return, he would have $95.2 million by 2035….

But more importantly to the Mets, if they invested the $5.9 million at 8% interest in 2000. That money would have grown to more than $14 million before they had to make a single payment. And that money would continue to draw interest even while they are making payments

So just like uncle sam does Holds your money all year then gives it back:suds:
