Antithesis of the most surprising team.

Which team was the most disappointing?

For me there are two: The Washington Redskins and the Houston Texans.

Neither team has many excuses to use but if I had to pick one, I'd go with the Texans over the 'Skins. They had so much success the last couple years and I thought were poised to really make some noise this year and go deep into the playoffs.

Nope.

2-13 ATM.

Its gotta be Houston. They were supposed to be SB contenders.

We could also list the Falcons. They finally won a playoff game last year and were set to go further this year. The made some moves in FA and then just fizzled all year.

13 losses in a row. After winning back-to-back division titles and a playoff game in each of those years.

Not only the biggest disappointment of the season but one of the biggest backwards turnarounds of all time.

Forgot about ATL but was just saying in the other thread, I think Houston still takes this but not by much IMO.

Falcons and Texans shocked me as they started sucking right away. Both I considered deep playoff material. Both collapses were shocking to most.

The Redskins season last year was a one man show of flogging RG3s knees literally to death and their lack of ability to do anything in the offseason FA because of the cap hell Synder continues to inflict upon them, I didn't see them repeating that. Doesn't shock me they only won a couple games this year. Their defense is abysmal and RG3's knees weren't ready for 2013.

Yeah, it's close - the Texans collapse has been epic, and doesn't fit the talent you guys have at various positions. But I think you're also the most likely to bounce back.

As to the Skins, I'm guessing the Rams aren't disappointed at all. :fish2:

I'd have to say Houston just because they shouldn't be this bad, period. I can understand Falcons fans being disappointed but I don't think they were as good as their record suggested they were last year. They should be better than this, granted but not as shocked as the Texan downfall. Hell, they couldn't even beat the Jags who most were considering the worst team in football the first half of the season.

As for Washington, did anyone actually think they would have the same success as last year? That whole organization is awful from top to bottom and only a spectacular rookie season last year got them to hide that but it was short term, at best. Once RG3 got hurt, they had nothing to hide the ineptitude that is the Redskins. Sorry, Skins fans, just trying to be honest.

If it were not for comebacks in the first two games this season, Houton would be 0 and 15, they came close. So it's Houston for me with Atlanta a close second.

They had the best Offensive playcalling last year, they had an elite running game, a legit #1 WR, a field goal kicker that couldn't miss and the NFC East didnt appear to have a 'strong' team. It wasn't too hard to imagine the Redskins being good on offense. The defense has 2 elite players so if you weren't paying attention, maybe youd think that London Fletcher was still good and maybe they would have someone in the secondary and maybe they wouldn't have the worst special teams unit in football. Their punting game is 32% less effective than the average team. That obscenely bad.

I think it is hands down the detroit lions... Talk about a team in control to win the division, but instead blow it and dont make the playoffs... they even lost to the giants last week...

Definitely the Falcons. We were expected to go at least 10-6 and win the division again. But that aint never going to happen again until we get reliable linemen on both sides of the ball!

I think the Texans are the clear choice. They have a roster full of elite talent yet here they are worse team in the NFL possibly. They kind of remind me of the Chiefs and it wouldn't surprise me if they get a decent quarterback that they could have a similar turn around next year.
