Not really athleticism there. That is talent and skill. Athleticism is speed, stamina, endurance, etc. Right now I would probably say that Rick Nash is the most athletic.

That's odd, because I think of it as being the opposite. I think having speed and endurance are part of it, but have more to do with training and discipline. I think of athleticism as just an inate athletic ability and talent to do lots of different things related to sports, even without extensive training. Bo Jackson was a great athlete. Babe Ruth (even though fat and slow) was a great athlete. Michael Jordan - great athlete (baseball, basketball, damn good golfer). Lance Armstrong has incredible endurance, but I bet if you played a bunch of different sport against those guys, he'd get demolished.

I'd probably put Ovechkin on the list. His dad was a pro soccer player. His mom an Olympic medalist. Something tells me he could have played another sport if not hockey and he got a hole-in-one his first time playing golf. Not Kim Jong Il good, but pretty good. In fact, I think a lot of your top goal scorers probably make this list - Crosby, Stamkos. Don't know them as well, but I bet they could do a lot of different things.

if multi-sport success is the criteria, then look to Chris Drury.

He pitched a complete game 5 hitter, and drove in 2 runs to win the 1989 Little League World Series.
then a Hobey Baker winner, Calder Trophy Winner to start off the hockey career.

but now his knees are shot.
