True ... but I already said in another thread that I think TEX catching evaluation and development needs improvement. Why was Saltalamacchia limited offensively ... and defensively (including his yips throwing) when he played for TEX... and then he goes over to BOS and spends about 15min at Pautucket late last season and he's been BOS starting catcher ever since.

Am glad Roman Mendez may be a great prospect. But he is all TEX is getting back TOTAL for Saltalamacchia, Ramirez, and Teagarden. Is someone going to give TEX somebody like Mendez for Teagarden who is out of options? No.

I'm just grumbling that if TEX was better at evaluating and developing its catchers then Saltalamacchia might still be here (probably instead of Torrealba) and Teagarden would have been sent to BOS 3 seasons ago when they were asking for him.
