Maybe. But I seriously think new QB this year, means we are looking for a coach next year. Especially if its the type of QB I suspect you and a few others want. I dont see Gruden changing his system to fit a Taylor/Rogers/Watson type. And you can say well then the coach needs to be fired if he cant adjust to that type of QB. But the reality is, the Cousins type of QB for the most part has a longer shelf life and Im actually NOT a fan of the run around and risk getting your knees blown out style of QB. Unless you can hand me the Next Brett Favre.. some one who can do it AND not miss six games or more a season.... I'M perfectly fine with Cousins since a maybe is not an upgrade in my book.

I'll take "None of the above" for 200 Alex. You already know my thoughts on this and it doesn't include any that you've listed. I also know the arguments against my pick as well, but I'm asking folks to take another look at him, the way he plays the game, his management skills, leadership qualities, how he functions in a very, very, very, similar offense. his records, at every level, stature, toughness, playoff experience, and (for a certain poster here..not you) the value that his teammates see in him. In fact any other evaluative measure outside of actual regular season in game experience, and a open minded, sober evaluation should result in seeing him as a better fit here than even Kirk. To me that's not a drop off, but an upgrade!

Okay why is there a debate. Cousins has played well enough to be paid. So lets open up Snyder's check book and pay the man. He has earned it. Stop nickel and diming him that's what got you into this mess and now you have to pay more for him. If you don't want to pay him what he wants then franchise him and hope someone takes him for 2-1st round picks. We finally find a franchise QB and now we are finding ways to let him go out the door. Bolt the door shut and sign him to a big contract.

To me the debate comes in because, one year ago when, as you've correctly pointed out, there was near unanimity in calling for this deal to be done. Those calls got louder after they FT'd him from those hoping he'd get a LTD during the signing period and thus far during this off season. I correctly saw in 2016 that it might be a good idea to begin looking at options. Well, after a solid year of getting virtually kicked in the pebbles, here we are........AGAIN!!! The debate comes because there is great unrest among the faithful, anxiety is setting in, and fears of another FT spells the end of the Kirk Cousins tenure here for many of them. This, then is forcing the nation to do something that they didn't want to do... and that is.... to consider what happens if the team doesn't bolt the door shut but, instead, opens it wider.
