Good read, I feel like we are solid everywhere. Of course the QB position is still a priority. But other than that, i really like our squad going into this year

For all the talk ... Watson, Wilson and Rogers are all with their current teams.

I am glad we did not do the old Redskins under Snyder thing of over paying for one of those guys though.

I am pretty sure I said that is where they would all remain.

So far means you are waiting for the shoe to drop. That's what is wrong with the media and others (I know, history repeats itself blah blah blah). Let's all move on, embrace this NEW culture and have fun with it!

i think you have to at least be wary . however i would focus on the hope instead of dwelling on the bad

did that for 19 years of danny boy owning the team. being wary is the right call. Trust but verify.

I understand why you would be wary however, I don't think RR is some splash in the pan. It's been culture from day 1 and his roster is starting to resemble that. Guys who buy in likely stay while adding young talent through the draft. I think his model will have sustained success. We have not been this competant in what seems like ions.

A huge difference in this scenario is all 3 of the aforementioned players are ballers. It wouldn't be like were trading for Jeff George, Mark Brunell or Tony Banks

It is what it is though n I'd be lying if I said I wasn't very excited about the upcoming year. RR n crew have the Skins headed in the right direction imo.

Excited to get back Ironman. He's gonna make it possible to move one of the 1st rd DL for a good pick up.

I ultimately feel the same way, Allen and Payne are likely not taking discounts to play side by side. Who knows just how good a healthy Ironman can be a full season

we dont need anyone to take discounts to stay . we have more then enough cap space to resign them if we choose . so the issues will be do we want them and do they want us .

I'd be more ok if one of the 2 leaves (via trade or FA) its payne. Resign Allen

I hope everything works out. However I'm not going to blindly trust this franchise until proven otherwise. I think most of us should not be begrudged a healthy skepticism.

I'm not advocating that the Skins trade one of the DL just cuz. MI though is arguably their best DL and if going by strictly production alone. There really isn't an argument. I've read the articles where Allen is speaking like he wants to stay a Skins player for his career and that's cool and all, but how likely is it that all 3 first rd DL (and really Sweat could be put into this conversation as well) so do you really believe Allen, Payne, Chase and Sweat ALL end up as Skins players for life? Regardless if management could some magic to where all 4 could fit under the cap. At the expense of what position though? Cuz point blank, I'd trade any one em right now for a stud cover safety or a stud LB especially an inside backer.

Having a great overall DL is, well, great, and I think to have a truly great defense a team needs at least one great defensive tackle, You could even make an argument imo that a great DL can carry a team to a Super Bowl title if they jell at the right time. the Skins need some upgrades though at a few positions, free safety and ILB/MLB come immediately to mind. Its been 13 years since the Skins had even an average free safety and if not for London Fletcher, the same could be said about MLB as well. Pretty much all I'm saying is this. The Skins have a surplus of talent at the DL. If talent at other positions were to become available. I wouldn't be against a trade of a 1 player for 1 player nature. In a perfect scenario the trade would be a proven NFL player still in his 20s for proven NFL player still in his 20s.

i wouldnt give up any of them entering their prime and that is the key here, let them go when they hit 31 or 32 not at 27/28 . RK played a long time here and when production and cost warranted it they let him go . BS could be next as he is entering his 30's moses as well

now you havent said this and my comments are directed more towards coach who thinks "just draft another one " which i think isnt the way to go . draft a replacement for Settle or smith williams or toney but not pro bowl caliber players entering their primes
