It hurts to see yet another 3rd round pick go down the drain, but that's the fault of our Front Office, not Moody. Our poor performance of our Front Office during drafts, have caught up. Poor drafts in '21, '22, and '23, and that's even if you factor in the drafting positions. still poor.

All drafts are crucial but this next one is more so because you're also making up for previous poor picks.
I gotta disagree on Moody’s failure not being Moody’s fault

Disagreeing is fine but what if Moody had been drafted in Round 7?

That's what i mean about the Front Office, they made another bad pick. Obviously Lynch isn't on the field kicking the ball.

The Front Office should be drafting starting players in Round 3, even at the tail end of this round. Not expecting day 1 starters, but viable players who eventually start. We don't even have to get into Latu.

Another thing to consider is that one of the reasons why they drafted Moody was his ability to kick off into the end zone and get touchbacks. Since the NFL has decided to change kickoff rules and touchbacks now go to the 35 yd line, one of his "perks" is now obsolete. Someone who kicks off short of the end zone is now the preference.

Yes,, Moody had other abilities and he was the best kicker last draft. The problem now is he could be 20 for 20 but then miss a FG and "all hell breaks out". All kickers eventually miss but based on last year, Moody's first miss will be headline news.

Moody will have to be near 'flawless' this off season, even a miss in Pre-Season will be talked about.

So in other words, he has earned a short leash with the fans.

He has earned it. Maybe he came back too early from the high ankle sprain, which would make sense. But if that is the case, he is gonna have to show consistency and beat out a vet in year 3 because his 1st year wasn't exactly stellar either.

With Wishnowski getting cut yesterday, you gotta think they will be watching Moody VERY closely moving forward, and won’t bat an eye cutting him if the need arises.

I freaking hope so! Moody has lost us more games in the last two years then Nedney, Akers, and Gould combined! (I don't know if that is statistically true, but he has missed more FGs in tight games then I remember any other kicker in recent memory)
