To be fair Plekanec put him in a bad spot because of the dumb embellishment - it could be 5-3 right now instead of 5-4

It was stupid of him to put himself in a situation to be called for a penalty, he has to be smarter there. But from what I've seen in the playoffs he just might be that dumb.
