Yahoo is quoting Madison PD as saying that they believe there was a fight last week involving football players, but Ball wasn't involved.

Hopefully it was just some idiot redshirts that wouldn't have played anyway.

That. And hopefully this is one of those situations where somebody picked a fight with them and they felt like they were defending themselves and didn't need to file a report of their own. Even if that's what happened, they still SHOULD have reported the fight, but it still would be a lot better than 10 guys overreacting and pounding on a guy for just talking shit.

Nothing new yet other than the fact that Ball will play in the opener assuming he is legally cleared. He's got two weeks of no contact while he recovers.

You guys are funny. I made some assumptions about the attackers, but I really don't think there was an argument about that. I was wrong about who the attackers were. My whole world is shattered.....

You did refer to them as "thugs" in your OP, but not "low rent local thugs".
