I would perhaps guess that he wants to stay warm?

Nah, that couldn't be it.
LOL! In a gym that's probably 80 degrees.

Actually, it pretty much does.
Nope. I observe said behavior, and it offends me. Its the behavior, not the color of the skin. Not sure why that is so difficult for you to garsp.

Because you are making ignorant generalizations and using politically inappropriate terminology.

Why is that so difficult for you to grasp?

Just stop with this guy. He's clearly THAT guy. You know the one every one tells you not to be. Don't be that guy. He's the poster child/grandpa.

Have you ever played basketball?

First off, those gyms are not 80 degrees. Some are even a bit chilly courtside because of the ice under the floor.

Second, even it it were 80 degrees, it is beneficial to be hot on the bench. Not just warm, literally sweating. Heat helps muscles stay loose and eases the adjustment period when re entering the game.

Political correctness is not something I am concerned about. Its all a lie. People should speak their minds without fear. That is the only way things will change. Political correctness only allows abhorant behavior to continue because people are ridiculed for speaking out about it.

Never past the high school level. Never felt the need to wear a ridiculous looking hoodie when I did though.

The NBA has been around for over 50 years and you are telling me it is just now that they've determined that staying warm on the bench is beneficial? Good lord man listen to yourself. The players never wore them before but now it is a gangster fashion statement that has no place in normal society.

The fact you think this is gangster fashion tells me that you've never seen a real gangster in your life. LOL.

Belicek kind of is a gangsta though.

Agreed. And what's kind of funny is that Tom Brady is from the Bay Area, and yet literally no one reps him here. We still claim Tupac, but hard pass on Brady.

No, but they literally have always worn warm up tops and sweats on the bench. At least in the 30 years I have been watching NBA.

It is common knowledge that sweats keep muscles warm and there is real science behind it. You are just flat out wrong. Hoodies and warm up tops have the same functional value.

As soon as body temperature begins to fall, muscles tighten up. Tight muscles are terrible for player performance. It is why pitchers wear jackets when their team is hitting, even on hot summer days. It is why NBA players have always covered up with warm up tops and towels when resting on the bench for more than a few seconds.

This is fact.

Notice how they don't have them unnecessarily on their heads when not needed like Durant does. Durant thinks it makes him look like a tough guy. These guys work in cold weather.
