We would also have our pick of ILBs since only Mosley went in the 1st round in his mock.

We're going to get a good player with that pick unless we completely mess it up.

LaMarcus Joyner is a stud. He is small in stature, but he can cover and flat out hit. He reminds me of a slower and less-built version of Bob Sanders. As bad as the safety position is, I'd have absolutely no problem with the Redskins taking him. I'd love to get either Jairus Byrd or T.J. Ward. However, either one will cost a ton. Plus, signing either one will still leave a void at one of the safety positons. I'm not sure if Meriweather will be back. Not to mention, Rambo didn't get it done at the FS position. Who knows what Phillip Thomas will do. He's virtually a rookie. Upgrades are needed. Now, taking another safety in the draft would just be plain old crazy. That was done, last year.

No way in the 2nd round. that mock was awful. They had Benjamin and Ealy in the mid to late 2nd round . lol. As far as safety, Pryor from Louisville could be an option at #34. He is a big hitter with great range.

I'm impressed you guys can mock this early. A quality WR could be available in the 2nd, Yankey and Richardson at G...definitely could be 2nd rounders. Do you take Smallwood in the 2nd or 3rd? Or do we take care of ILB in FA? Byrd may not be as expensive as people think his first 2 years since he was franchise tagged.

There is definitely going to be a good WR in the 2nd. The guys I like right now are Matthews, Cooks, Beckham, Pryor, Yankey, Richardson. Obviously FA will give us a better idea on who we will draft.

I would be perfectly ok with this draft in terms of both positions and specific players but sadly I doubt we can get a 3 and a 4 for cousins

Morgan Moses will not be there in the 3rd round. He is having a good Senior Bowl. If we want him we are going to have to take him with our 2nd round pick. I see this has a very deep draft. #1 priority should be a trade down. I would just keep Cousins for a 3rd and 4th round. If we get offered a 2nd then I would move him. We should be active in FA and might get 3 to 4 starters out of it. The holes should be closing fast. Especially if Rak, riley, and Hall are resigned.

What the hell. This is all fun right???? My 2nd mock...

(2--FROM SF) Jordan Matthews, WR, Vandy

(3) Dominique Easley, DE, Florida

(3--FROM SF) Shayne Skov, ILB, Stanford

(4) Seantrel Henderson, RT, Miami

(5) Russell Bodine, G/C, UNC

(6) Antone Exum, S, Virginia Tech

(7) Brent Urban, DE, UVA

I think you may be on to something with the trades. Also this is one rare time where I wouldn't be upset with a WR at 2. Nice mock, Urban may go higher than 7 though...
