Im going to wait to see who we end up with as our coach, and what direction we go in as far as free agents both resigning our own as well as bringing in new blood. But I like the Skove idea.

IF we switch to a 4-3 defense and Rak and Kerrigan become DE's there is a huge hole at OLB. Assuming Riley is signed back, OLb become the biggest need. I hope we stay in a 3-4.

2- Kony Ealy DE Missouri
3- David Yankey G Stanford
4- Max Bullough ILB MSU
5- Tevin McDonald S Eastern Washington
6- Jeremy Gallon WR Michigan
7- Cody Webster Purdue P
Its kind of hard to do a mock without knowing if we are running the zone blocking scheme or a 4-3 or 3-4 defense but there's my shot.

Here is my first crack at it. I admit, I don't know a ton about most of the prospects...many of these I have seen play. I would like Tuitte and Skov in Rounds 2 and 3...but if they aren't available...

(2) Kony Ealy, DE, Mizzou-- athletic, good pass rusher and run stopper

(3) Christian Jones, ILB, FSU -- tall, rangy, sideline to sideline LB, good cover skills

(4) Seantrel Henderson, RT, Miami -- Enormous upside and potential here. Incredibly athletic for a 6'7" 330 lb guy.

(5) Russell Bodine, G/C, UNC -- Utility lineman. Can play both spots.

(6) Antone Exum, S, Virginia Tech -- Coming off an ACL but has the speed, size, cover skills, and ball skills to be very good at the safety position. Was an above average CB at VT.

(7) Brent Urban -- disruptive guy, 2nd round pick in the CFL draft last year. UVA's defense was not the same during an absence of his this year.

Heavy on OL and DL....No luxury picks...no fliers, need to feel like anyone drafted should have the potential to be a starter in a reasonable amount of time.

I know that they have said it is a deep draft for WR..but I just don't see it outside of the 2nd or 3rd round. If the FO were to draft one I would prefer it be one of the first 2 picks (as several of you have displayed) or taking a minimal risk on one later in the draft. Some of you have mentioned Benjamin and Robinson, I like Matthews as well as Beckham and Landry. I think some of those guys could be available for us in the 2-3 and would be instant upgrades over everyone outside of Garcon.

I am hoping someone (probably late in the second) falls in love with somebody and wants to move up, giving up their 2nd and 3rd/4th for our pick. It would be great to get a quaklity WR, DL, and ILB in those rounds. Just wishfully thinking :)

Looking at the points system..if someone just wanted to move up a handful of spots...we would likely get their 2nd and their 4th in return. A team that is later in the 2nd round, would warrant their 2nd and 3rd in return. I would be OK with either of those scenarios...

I hope they dont take a WR with our 2nd or 3rd round pick.....We have More glaring holes on the team then a receiver!!! until the FA are determined, it is really hard to come up with a Mock.....

We have some talent at receiver, and garcon already showed that he is a Legit threat!!!

If we don't get a WR in FA why wouldn't you want a WR in the 2nd or 3rd round lonewate44?? Hank is a big ? coming off injury and Robinson is inconsistent. I think its a no brainer to grab a WR in the 2nd or 3rd round especially in this years deep WR class.

Because I see other holes on the team as more important the #2 receiver.....Would I like another option to be the #2 receiver? Yep... But I find the other needs...CB...Safety...OL....ILB as more important then #2 wr......

We made do last year without a solid#2....could again.....just we need to use our early picks for places with a glaring weakness.....

I am kind of torn. I agree with what lonewate is saying in that we have more pressing needs....

But I am warming up to the thought that some of you guys have in taking a WR at #34. I really want us to move back some and be able to pick up another 3rd or early 4th.

San Francisco could be a suitor. They have a 1st, (2) 2nd rounders, and (2) 3rd rounders...for one of the 4best teams in the league. Must suck to be them.

I have said in another thread I am ok with trading down in the 2nd round as well.......If we did trade down and got 2 2nds, or a hi 3rd for trading down, then I would be ok using a 2nd on wr...Maybe....

It is hard to do a mock without knowing what we get in FA....
